I create art that is whimsical and fun. With so much stress, anger, and frustration in our country, as well as much of the world, I try to create meaningful art & animation that will bring a gentle smile or chuckle to the viewer. I strive to merge art that has mass appeal with fine art.
Creating fun characters and stories about them is a passion. Some of my characters have been licensed and turned into large Halloween figures and Christmas ornaments, and I've created characters for international corporations and regional theme parks.
Currently, I'm excited to be creating art and cartoons featuring AR (Augmented Reality). AR allows a new dimension in art. Using a free app (Artivive) on a smartphone or tablet, the viewer will see an animation/video play on the physical piece of art.
I grew up reading comic books, everything from cutesy cartoon characters to superheroes. My studio is stocked with picture books, plush toys (Snoopy, Batman, a teddy bear, and similar), Bride of Frankenstein soda pop, graphic novels and comic strip books ranging from Calvin & Hobbes to Superman.
