Here are the steps to order a custom portrait:

1. Send me, Daryl Slaton, an email at daryl@tailsofwhimsy.com OR contact me using the form on the CONTACT US page expressing your interest.

2. I will reply to you with an email containing some questions about your pet (characteristics, favorite activities, abilities, etc.). Or you can use the Question/Comment section on the CONTACT US page to tell me about your pet. Guidelines are on that page.

3. Email me photos of your pet and pet items (the higher the resolution, the better). Or you can send photos or a CD via snail-mail at the address listed on the CONTACT US page. For all portraits, you must provide photos (digital preferred) of your pet and objects. 

4. Choose a standard portrait size (or contact me for other sizes):

• 16" x 20" giclee on textured archival fine art paper: $500 + shipping
• 18" x 24" giclee on textured archival fine art paper: $550 + shipping
  
• 20" x 30" giclee on textured archival fine art paper: $625 + shipping

Actual image sizes are listed. All portraits are suitable for framing and come with an additional 1” to 2” paper border. The prices listed are for one pet. Additional primary pets are $85 each. No money is due at this stage. Other portrait sizes are available. Please contact me for pricing. A bonus art giclee sized at 7" x 8.75" (based on the original art from one of the sizes listed above) is available. This is perfect for an office desk. Price is $27 + shipping.

5. Via email and/or phone conversations, we will determine the suitable whimsical theme for your pet(s).

6. You will receive a digital proof of your work and simple changes are allowed at this point. Payment in full is due at this time. You can pay by credit card or PayPal by using the provided PayPal buttons below. You can also pay by check by mailing it directly to me. Make personal checks payable to Daryl Slaton. Mailing Address: 7 White Palmer Court, Biltmore Lake, NC 28715. NC residents add 6.75% sales tax.

All finished portrait images (and parts thereof) belong to Daryl Slaton Design and Tails of Whimsy  and may not be reproduced without the sole permission of the artist.

All rights to the image, and without limitation the right to reproduce, copy, exhibit, publish, display on a web page, or distribute copies of the image, are assigned to Daryl Slaton Design.

When payment is received, your giclee will be mailed to you in protective packaging. All sales are final.

Your giclee is an original. Please allow up to six weeks for delivery. As a Tails of Whimsy portrait makes a wonderful gift for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, and Mothers and Fathers Day, we encourage you to order even earlier to meet these holiday deadlines.
